Beginning in July 2007, the Sushrusa Playgroup opened its doors at LUMINA. Funded by ALF, this pre-school for 3-6 year olds provides classes three times a week as well as private speech therapy classes. Consultants from the
SLBB in Sidhakarya, I Made Pujana, SpD and Sri Aemi, SpD, have trained a teacher, Putu Indrawati, and teacher’s assistant, Made Raka Witari, in the Total Communications Approach for the playgroup. For the first year of enrollment, parents only need to pay a portion of the fees as ALF has
funded the school in its entirety for the first year.
As of December 2007, we have 15 students enrolled and have room for 32 students.
