Reimbursement for IDEP/Posko Crisis Centre Expenses

The night of the bomb, Adhe Jane from Bali Cares and her band of volunteers put together a hot line and crisis centre at Sanglah Hospital, helping to link people with their loved ones and taking care of the victims' families. Blankets and food were brought in for the victims and their family and friends. This POSKO (Information Centre) was based on the one created in 2002, but with many of the wrinkles ironed out. The efficiency of the hotline is a tribute to the lessons learned and to the team of volunteers, many of whom flew in from Aceh to assist at the hospital. The IDEP Foundation (www.idepfoundation.org) with the POSKO set up a website (www.BaliBombOct2005-sanglah.org) which was constantly updated to assist people in procuring information about the victims.
YKIP has reimbursed some of the out-of-pocket expenses incurred by IDEP and the POSKO crew (funeral costs for one of the victims; phone cards, blankets, food, etc).
Ibu Warti Buleleng catering service donated 150 meals and gave YKIP a discount on the 1,050 meals purchased for volunteers and victims' families.
