Celebrating 38th Years of Annika Linden

The day began with YAKKUM clients playing Tingklik and Baleganjur gamelan music as the invitees walked in. Two children (they have cerebral palsy) from YPK made a lovely drawing as did a KEMBALI scholarship student from Gianyar. One of YAKKUM (physically challenged)’s clients gave Mark an incredible silver necklace engraved with Mark’s name. Poems were read by university sponsored students Dayu Wid, Sang Ayu Sujiarti and Anak Agung Apriana. Songs were sung by the Bali Hotels Association students (ALF sponsors nearly 50 students in tourism college), Alief and Aldi of KIDS (bomb victim’s children) and the YKIP team. The hearing impaired students of SUSHRUSA performed a welcome dance, one of the grannies from an aged care home sang a rousing rendition of a love song, the staff of CV LUMINA (hearing programs) presented a beautiful statue of Saraswati, East Bali Poverty Project students gave a very moving play about the Bali bombings and we ended the day with a Joged dance.
