Unlike other children who has the privilege to get anything they want from their parents; Irma simply could not do that. She realized that her family economic condition will not allow her to do that. Then she decided to help the parents by becoming a flower picker in her neighbour garden. Become a flower picker is not an easy task for a young girl, but that is the only way she can add some rupiah to the day earning.
Since its initiation in 2009, 15 sponsored students have benefited from the YKIP University Scholarship and all of them are academically outstanding senior high school graduates.
I did my best to get the scholarship I believe “Where there is a will, there is a way”. I was extremely happy knowing that I was selected as one of the YKIP’s university level scholarship grantee. I then continued my study and went to a university in Bali. College life was not easy. Studying in a higher level was challenging but I did not give up. YKIP became my motivation when in college.

YKIP as an organization which provides education support is trying to complete the services to the students by providing a youth career planning program. The program aims to equip YKIP’s Senior High School sponsored students with knowledge and skills that will help them determine their future plans once they graduate high school.
This event encompasses a series of activities as follows:
This year, there are 184 students consisting of 10 sponsored KIDS children and 174 sponsored KEMBALI students of Grade 11 and 12 in the current 2014/2015 Academic Year. By providing the opportunity for these future high school graduates, we expect that they will improve their knowledge and soft skills, which would be useful when making their plans and preparing themselves for employment opportunities.
The workshop will take place on December 13th – 14th, 2014 at Balai Budaya Gianyar, Bali. Each grade level will participate in a one day workshop session. The workshop will be facilitated by YKIP project team with the volunteers support and other network partners.
