Damien Thurber of Australia went up to Karangasem in 2007 and was devastated by the poverty he discovered there. He is now sponsoring a number of children there and with proceeds from his CD "Vow of Poverty" (www.vow.org.au) will continue his sponsorship.
Damien is a realtor in Western Australia with a big heart. He has gathered together many of his friends and colleagues to sponsor individual children through Senior High School. With his band, VOW OF POVERTY, he has just made his first CD and proceeds from that will go towards sponsorship of more children (there are literally hundreds in these villages that need assistance).
