YKIP puts small libraries of primarily Indonesian language books into primary schools.

We worked with librarians at Dyatmika School in Denpasar and the manager of Gramedia Bookshop to procure a list of viable reading material and then our staff culled that list once again to fit our budget and cultural appropriateness.

Each class gets about twenty books, so for primary school there are 120 books. YKIP puts in shelves, tables, chairs (we paint them in kid friendly colors) and with the kids cover each book in protective plastic and paste check out slips in the back.

We currently have seven libraries installed and would love to make that seventy! Can you help us make that happen? Cost: approximately US $1,000, AUD $900 or Euro 700.
