Annika Linden Foundation

Mark Weingard lost his fiance in the Bali bombing in October 2002. To honor her, he set up the Annika LInden Foundation which has been generously supporting YKIP since 2003, first with large donations to kick off the MREC (Medical Research and Education Center) at Udayana University and the education fund for the children of the bomb victims (YKIP/KIDS). Up to the present time, ALF continues to fund a number of our projects: YAKKUM, YAKEBA, YRS, KEMBALI (277 students and 3 university students), Children's Hearing Program, Mobile Dental Health Program, partial operating expenses for YPK, and YKIP administration. Up until 2010 YKIP also administered a number of projects of the East Bali Poverty Project with funds from the ALF.

In 2009, Kurt Heck became the General Director of ALF.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mark Weingard, Kurt Heck, David Magson, and other members of the ALF for their generous support, not only financial, but moral as well. They have made Bali a better place to live in and done a great service in honoring those who passed away during the bomb.
